Thank you to Heidi the Pit Bull rescuer!

So often we are contacted by good Samaritans who have found a dog and ask us to take the dog in. We are very rarely able to help in this capacity. We were contacted a few days ago by Heidi from Kennesaw about a pretty Pit Bull that she rescued from busy traffic. Heidi went above and beyond to help this sweet girl. She searched high and low for the dog's owner, had her checked for a microchip, and offered to cover the cost of her vet care if we were able to accept the dog. She even filmed and emailed us several video clips showing just how wonderfully behaved this dog is! The good news is, another rescue org was able to take her in today! We want to acknowledge Heidi for all that she did to ensure the welfare of this Pit Bull! We need more animal advocates out there like you, Heidi!
